Qigong and Creativity Camping Retreat
2025 dates to be announced
This is a new retreat with myself and [Tallulah Rendall](https://www.tallulahrendall.com/who-i-am). Tallulah is a dear friend and someone who has worked with me for many years at Rise Up Singing. Qigong has played a huge part in her creativity and supported her work as a musician. For me, Qigong has also supported my work as a poet and has helped me find my singing voice.
So for this retreat we are combining forces to offer a fusion of Qigong, voice and creativity. The retreat will be grounded in Qigong practice from which you will be guided and encouraged to open the creative process. This may lead to writing, singing or any other form of expression. Along the way you can expect to have a lot of fun and, who knows, you may come away with a masterpiece….
I’m really excited about this retreat. Specifically I am excited to explore how Qigong can open the doorway to a quality of expression which grows directly from the intimate connection with life that is at the heart of Qigong; and how the “qigong state” can be a channel for the muse to move through.
We have not fixed an exact timetable for this retreat as we need to be responsive to whatever is emerging. However, a day might include early morning meditation leading into sound/voice; main morning Qigong leading into creative writing/painting/movement; a spacious afternoon to rest or walk and enjoy the moors; late afternoon Qigong and creativity sessions; evenings of sharing poetry, story, song etc
The venue is Gidleigh on north Dartmoor, a short walk away from spectacular moorland and ancient sites which we will make time to visit.
This is a fully catered retreat. Accommodation is camping. Prices and booking details to be announced
