Weekly classes are an excellent introduction to the Qigong practice for new students as well as an opportunity for experienced students to deepen their experience and understanding of energy and awareness.
The classes are a mixture of physical/vigorous Qigong, moving Qigong and meditative standing and sitting practices. The aim is to bring into balance our body, heart and mind, releasing ‘stale Qi’ and ‘old information’ and cultivating a connection to our potential, our life force, Qi.
Through the more physical aspect of the Qigong, we cultivate our Jing, physical essence or power, which can help rejuvenate the body on a cellular level.
The more meditative practices, including moving and standing Qigong, contain a strong energetic transmission, helping to wake up the Qi, the body’s Intelligence and self regulating mechanism.
From a grounded, connected, settled, open state we can begin to let go into a more spontaneous practice, allowing the Qi to move us, freeing up the body light, or Shen. This can initiate strong internal transformation, release of old habits and patterning and a fresh response to life.
The atmosphere of the classes is very playful, empowering, non-competitive and relaxed.
