how would it be to welcome yourself exactly as you are?
Qigong, Meditation and Enquiry Retreat
Bala Brook, Dartmoor, South Devon
March 19th-24th 2021 2 places remaining
November 19th-25th 2021
If the government guidelines are favourable the retreats will happen with appropriate Covid-19 precautions.
The retreat in March is limited to 12 people and in November 15 people to allow time for sharing of our experience and individual guidance.
The intention of the retreat is to explore welcoming each moment just as it is, opening to a Freedom of Being, awake to our essential nature, connected to the power of life and embodying this in the ordinariness of our every day life. This is a radical acceptance of all aspects of ourself, the parts we like and the parts our mind judges as unacceptable.
We will also explore the qualities of both the timeless Peace and Joy of the heart as well as its tender and very human aspect.
Together we cultivate a quality of Presence, an embodied, heartful awareness that is curious, responsive, insightful and engaged with the immediacy of each moment. Within this field of Presence the specific practice of the Hua Gong Forms is offered to wake up the transformation of the Three Treasures of Jing, Qi and Shen.
Through the physical aspect of the Qigong, we cultivate our Jing, physical essence or power, rejuvenating the body on a cellular level.
The Meditative practices contain a strong energetic transmission, liberating the Qi, releasing ‘old information’, connecting us to the richness of our inner life and the deep nourishment available all around us.
From a grounded, connected, open state we let go into a free and responsive practice, allowing the Qi to move us, liberating the body light, or Shen, re-connecting us to our essential nature.
The practice of Enquiry in pairs explores the themes arising from the retreat within an environment of Presence, kindness and curiosity, helping us to integrate the depths of our being with the ordinariness of everyday life.
There will be sessions throughout the day and evening, with time to rest and digest the practice. Some of the retreat will be in silence.
Cost £650 for accommodation and food, plus an extra £50 to cover the cooks extra work if Covid-19 safety guidelines are still in place. A deposit of £150 is required to reserve a place.
If the retreat has to be cancelled because of Covid-19 a full refund will be offered

“To penetrate the hardest armour, use the softest touch.
Yielding melts resistance, density is filled with light.
Good work accomplished without effort.
In silence the teachings are heard
In stillness the world is transformed”
