Brad Richecoeur
In 1985 after several years of travel in Europe, North Africa and Asia, Brad begun studying meditation and yoga, spending time on retreat in Asia and the USA, immersing himself in the teachings of Buddhism.
Returning to Britain in 1989 he met and begin studying with his Qigong Master, Zhixing Wang from Beijing. During the 1990s he deepened his understanding of energy work by continuing intensive studies with Zhixing and completed his Qigong Instructor programme. He was asked to run Qigong classes in 1995 and has become one of Zhixing's senior students and a well respected instructor.
Brad is also an experienced Bodyworker, he qualified as a Shen Tao Chinese Acupressure practitioner in 1991 and moved to Totnes in Devon, co-founding the Centre for Oriental Medicine. In 1997 Brad completed a training in Craniosacral Therapy with Franklyn Sills at the Karuna Institute where he is now a tutor.
As well as his teaching commitments and busy Craniosacral practice Brad continues to spend time in silence and solitude either in nature or on formal retreat which gives him the inspiration and enthusiasm for his own work and life in general. 'Being present, staying awake, engaging with the mystery of it all and still being able to wash the dishes and chop wood continues to provide the greatest challenge.' He lives in South Devon on the edge of Dartmoor.
