Brad Richecoeur
“To penetrate
The hardest armour,
Use the softest touch.Yielding melts resistance.
Density is filled with light.
Good work accomplished without effort.
In silence the teachings are heard;
In stillness the world is transformed”
Lao Tse, Tao te Ching
Brad has a background in Buddhism, Qigong and Chinese Medicine. He spent a lot of his 20′s in Asia and America studying and practicing these healing and spiritual arts. Returning to Britain in 1989 he met and begin studying with his Qigong Master, Zhixing Wang from Beijing.
During the 1990s he deepened his understanding of energy work by continuing intensive studies with Zhixing and completed his Qigong Instructor programme. He was asked to run Qigong classes in 1995 and has become one of Zhixing’s senior students and a well respected instructor.
Brad is also an experienced Bodyworker, originally with Chinese Acupressure, co-founding the Centre for Oriental Medicine in Totnes. In 1997 Brad completed a training in Craniosacral Therapy with Franklyn Sills at the Karuna Institute where he is now a tutor. As well as his teaching commitments and busy Craniosacral practice Brad continues to spend time in silence and solitude either in nature or on formal retreat which gives him the inspiration and enthusiasm for his own work and life in general. ‘Being present, staying awake, engaging with the mystery of it all and still being able to wash the dishes and chop wood continues to provide the greatest challenge.’ He lives in South Devon on the edge of Dartmoor.
